Sara Shai

Sara Shai is an author, teacher and an artist, based in Los Angeles.

Her writing and art reveals her challenge to become free and whole and offers a

fresh look at human ingenuity.

She paint in oil and acrylic, and carve in alabaster and marble.

In 2006 Sara published her non- fiction book ‘Beautiful in Black: Conversation

with Suicide’ a compelling account of how we cope with loss and the ability to rise

from the ashes and transcend even the most devastating tragedy.

‘Beautiful in Black…’ explores the human longing for love, acceptance and freedom.

This book was later revised and published as an e book novel with the new title ‘The Little Girl on the Sand Hill’

In 2007, she founded the HONORING LIFE EVENT. Its purpose is to inspire people to

Recognize their greatness and venture into what is possible when hardship occur.

Recently Sara self-published her title ‘Cinderella’s Secret Diary 1659” Here, the

iconing Princess recognizes that her triumph will not be complete until she brings ‘happily ever after’ to reality through her own efforts only.

Sara Shai’ Statement: to create is to feel, think, struggle and live until it becomes real. Every creation is always a new and fresh birth. For me it is the interaction with the medium that determines the final creation and I am only the instrument that brings it to life. It is the peak of fulfillment. Art is the language of the soul.
