John Birch

John Birch is a Methodist Local Preacher based in South Wales with a keen interest in Celtic spirituality, and exploring not only the wonderful landscape of Wales but anywhere else in the world he and wife Margaret can afford to get to, particularly if there is a link with Christian history.

John has been writing for many years, but over the last decade has been led into a prayer writing ministry via www.faithandworship.com which has a worldwide following.

Author of several books of prayers and Bible studies (which are being converted to Kindle format) John has also contributed to several denominational publications, been translated into Swedish and some of his Celtic prayers have been set to music. He also contributes regularly to the International Bible Reading Association (IBRA) Bible reading notes

2014 saw the publication of The Act of Prayer, 700+ lectionary-themed prayers for leaders of worship and small group use, published by BRF (Bible Reading Fellowship) and in 2017 a collection of 300 prayers entitled 'Ripples - engaging with the world in prayer'.
