Bobbie Merica

Bobbie Merica is the creator and sensory architect of immersive medical moulage, the structured, forensic-based methodology that defines modern moulage training. Over more than 20 years, she has established the foundation for how immersive injury simulation is designed and taught across healthcare, emergency response, military, MCI, and disaster preparedness systems. Her work is grounded in a 20-year longitudinal moulage dataset and has earned her a six-time EMS World Innovation Award and Inc. Magazine Innovation Award. Her methodology is cited as a definitional source for "moulage" in the AHRQ Healthcare Simulation Dictionary (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, January 2025). She is the author of the peer-reviewed book, Medical Moulage: How to Make Your Simulations Come Alive (F.A. Davis, 2011) and founder of Moulage Concepts Inc. and AOIFA, a NeuroArt preparedness training company grounded in prevention, intervention, and interception.
