I'm from the small town Kellyville, Oklahoma, growing up in a farming town was
something that I never had any desire to do. I moved around a lot through my
adolescent years with my father from state to state. So many schools that is was impossible to make friends. When I was going to be gone at the end of the
school year or the next, I mostly kept to my self during those days. I graduated from High School in 1987 from a small town in Hammon, Oklahoma.
This is my first edition of poetry for what I hope brings meaning and
understanding to the need of words and to move forward or into the moment.
These are my thoughts, dreams and my every day world. I love being able to
envision an unwritten future and then relay them onto paper. These poems and
thoughts mean a lot to me as they come from a place very seldom visited by
someone special in my life, even my self at times.
A few of these poems are very personal to the fact that I have lived them. One
of them is called "My Addiction to Hell", it was a time in my life where I was so lost in this world. I needed something just to be able to open my eyes for
another day.
There are many things I can be thankful for, but the ones that are most
meaningful to me are: My children; They have given me a life I had no right
to expect and the friendship of two people that have only recently come in
my life through words: Abby Wolf, Elisa Marieanna and Saira Viola, you three are a deep inspiration to me and I'm thankful to my Lord and Savior for bringing the world of poetry to me.
