My first book, "Something Is Wrong At My House," was published in 1984 by Parenting Press. It launched my career as an author, child and family counselor, educational trainer and consultant, and adjunct faculty to several colleges in the Greater Seattle Area. In 1987 my second book, "Working With Children from Violent Homes," was published by ETR Associates, and in 1994 my third book, "Reaching Out to Children with FAS/FAE," was published by a subsidiary of Simon & Schuster.
While I was writing books and finishing my BA and Master's degrees, I supported myself by starting my own cleaning business. My self-published book, "Your Cleaning Lady Knows More Than You Think," is a collection of stories about my most memorable clients and the experiences I had as a cleaning lady. Some of the stories are unbelievable, but I swear, they are true!
After over 30 years working in education and social service, and shortly before I retired, I self-published "The ABC's of Autism," based on the classes I taught on autism spectrum disorder. I then decided to become a professional nanny. Now I delight in writing whimsical stories in rhyme for children where they get to meet magical characters, giggle at their antics, and learn valuable life lessons. Please stay tuned for these new titles!
