John Bascom

John Bascom is the author of "Beneath a Hunter's Sky", a collection of his short fiction about hunting, fishing, and coming of age, released in 2015. He previously wrote "Caine's Pestilence" in 2010, a novel of political satire and biotech intrigue. It serves as a commentary on our modern political scene through entertaining fiction. Both are available on Amazon.

Bascom is retired from the corporate world and lives in rural northern Michigan with wife, Nickie, where he writes, teaches and consults. He holds degrees in Economics and Finance, spent thirty-five years in banking and eleven in health care governance.

In his free time, Bascom is an outdoors enthusiast, (poor) golfer, private airplane pilot and rides a Harley. He has hunted dangerous game in Africa and Alaska. Other than that he is more-or-less normal.
