Stanley Witkin

Stanley L Witkin is professor emeritus of social work at the University of Vermont and adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been a Fulbright scholar at the University of Lapland (Finland) and University College-Dublin, Ireland. Stanley is the president of the Global Partnership for Transformative Social Work (www.gptsw.net), an international organization exploring the potential contributions of social constructionist and related frameworks towards a more just, peaceful, and sustainable global future.

After a career of academic publishing, his debut novel, Finding Lenny, was published in August, 2022.

Stanley lives in Virginia with his spouse Frannie Joseph, a talented artist who designed the Finding Lenny cover, and his precocious dog, Pekoe. When he is not writing books, he reads, watches basketball, plays guitar, composes songs, interacts with friends and colleagues, and “zooms” with his grandsons.
