Mike Stallard

Hello, I am an old English man in my mid eighties and I have only just discovered internet publishing. It really is rewarding to be able to publish books without some silly little person coming in and telling you how to do it. I like that. I write about what I know.

Anyway, I have all the right bits of paper etc if that lights your candle. Public School (beaten on my first night aged nine in my pyjamas), founder member of VSO (Peace Corps) in Ghana, Cambridge University where I met my wife and rowed and got drunk and behaved appallingly. Then I became a teacher in Australia and Sierra Leone and begot four lovely children before I went into the Anglican Church to follow my father, grandfather and great grandfather.

As the wheels came off the Church of England in the 1980s, I soldiered on until Archbishop Spong consecrated a divorcee Bishop. that, as you will recollect dear Reader, is directly what St Paul in his letter to Timothy did not say. So, I chose St Paul and became a Catholic which I have been ever since.

My wife and family stood bravely by me through years on the dole until my retirement and for that I am grateful.

But that's enough about me.

How about your life? Has it been that good?
