Richard Givan

I am Richard Givan, Professor Emeritus of criminal justice from Eastern Kentucky University. My wife Betty, is also a retired prof, but from mathematics. We live in central Kentucky, close to our daughter and her family. I'm the camera man to my wife's successful cooking channel on YouTube (Betty's Kitchen), which has led to 156,000 subscribers, nearly 50 million views, an appearance in the ABC News show 20/20, an article in Forbes Magazine, and many other newspaper and magazine articles.

My creative outlet is crafting fiction. I have a BA in English, an MA in creative writing, and a J.D., all of which may have contributed to my writing skills. Over a span of 12 years I wrote about 125 book reviews for the Lexington Herald-Leader newspapers.

Now I am focused on writing novels and polishing them into the best they can be.
