Jon R Jacobs

Dr. Jon Jacobs, born in Biloxi, MS, into an Air Force family, has lived in Germany, France, and thirteen states. Poetry is an outlet for his adventures and relationships. A cousin of Edgar Allen Poe, Jon began his poetic writing at eighteen. 30 years a general and vascular surgeon, he now has a dermatology practice. After thirteen years of battling and winning his fight with lymphoma, he still composes poetry.

In June, 2011, Jon was chosen to be one of ten poet readers at Piccolo Spoleto Poetry readings, Charleston, SC. He presented his newly published book, Lifescapes, at that time. He has subsequently made available a selection personally read in CD format.
