Lee May

Lee May is the youngest person in the history of DeKalb County (GA) Government to be elected to serve on the Board of Commissioners. Elected in July of 2006, Commissioner May oversees a $1 Billion budget and serves as the voice for nearly 160,000 residents.

Lee May, the son of a pastor, is also an ordained Elder in his local church. He is a graduate from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology holding a Masters of Divinity Degree and of the Historic Clark Atlanta University. He is married to his college sweetheart Robin, who is a counselor, mental health therapist, and public speaker (for more information, see her website: www.virtuespeaks.com). Robin and Lee are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters; Ryann Kimberly and Reagan Leanne.

As both an Elected Official and a member of the clergy; the Honorable Lee May has superbly built a bridge between Faith and Politics in his latest work “My God, My Politics: A Discussion on Faith and Politics”. Lee uses his personal experiences in both worlds to bring clarity for the layperson, telling them that their faith in fact can and should inform their politics. May tells us that, “People of faith have every right to inject their faith into the political discourse of this nation”.
