Marissa Miley is a freelance journalist who specializes in health, culture, and the environment. Her work has appeared in Nature Medicine, AAAS.org, Advertising Age, Esquire, and The Huffington Post. She also coauthored the narrative nonfiction book Restless Virgins, a New York Times bestseller that was featured in The Boston Globe, O Magazine, and The Washington Post.
In 2009-2010, Marissa was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow in science and health writing at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University, where she earned her M.A. in Journalism. She lives in New York City with her husband and in her free time likes long-distance running, hiking, biking, and traveling.
