Jordana Maisel

Jordana L. Maisel is Director of Outreach and Policy Studies at the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access (IDeA Center) at the University at Buffalo, where she serves as a co-director of the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Universal Design in the Built Environment (RERC-UD) and a project lead for the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Accessible Public Transportation (RERC-APT). Jordana is an urban planner whose current work includes projects on the effectiveness of universal design, policy and planning issues related to inclusive housing and streetscape design, and the development of voluntary universal design standards. She has lectured at numerous conferences and has taught in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University at Buffalo as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Jordana has degrees in Human Development from Cornell University (BS '00), and Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Buffalo (MUP '04). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Industrial Engineering.
