Sandra J. Baker

Sandra J. Baker has written two books. The first, in 1979 was on poison oak and poison ivy. The second, in 2011 was also on poison oak and poison ivy. Three and a half years of intense research gave Sandra tons of extra information for "The Poison Oak & Poison Ivy Survival guide."

Having lived in the country since 1970, always surrounded by poison oak, Sandra grew to have an affection for the beautiful plants. As her extreme allergic reactions started to wane over the years, she began to appreciate the beauty and resourcefulness of poison oak.

Sandra came across articles about poison oak when she started using a computer and was astounded at the misinformation circulating around the internet. Time to get the straight facts, read clinical studies, interview experts, dig into historical writings. A book was born.

Sandra lives on four acres in southern oregon with poison oak happily flourishing among the oaks, pines, firs, madrones and cedars. A husband and dog share the digs and two grandchildren live nearby. Who could ask for more.
