Jill Gurr is a screenwriter. Two of her scripts have been produced: "Rigged" starring George Kennedy was adapted from a novel by James Hadley Chase; and "The Immortals" was a PBS pilot starring Ed Asner playing Socrates. A number of Jill's scripts have been optioned.
She is the Founder and Director of Create Now (www.createnow.org), a Los-Angeles based nonprofit organization that helps troubled youth through creative arts mentoring. She has been featured on "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" and "Anderson Cooper 360°" and is one of eight Americans selected to be in an exhibition at the Museum of Tolerance, "Everyday Heroes."
Jill has received international awards for her work with mentoring at-risk kids. She has published the books, "Mentor Youth Now: A Guidebook for Transforming Young Lives," "Adventures with the Ancient Crystal Skulls" and "Dolphin Healing."
