Norbert Stöbe

Norbert Stöbe, born in 1953 in Troisdorf, studied chemistry at RWTH Aachen and lives as a freelance author and translator in Stolberg. He has published nine novels so far, most recently ‘Black Box’ and ‘Kleiner Drache’. He received the Bertelsmann Förderpreis in 1985 for the novel ‘New York ist himmlisch’, the Kurd Lasswitz Prize in 1989 and 1996 for ‘New York ist himmlisch’ and the story ‘Der Durst der Stadt’, and the German Science Fiction Prize in 1992 for the story ‘Zehn Punkte’.
