As a child in the English west country Frederick Anderson cut his teeth on the classics, read everything from Dan Dare to Dickens. At nine or ten years old he wrote his first short story, about a monster living in the hills behind his house. It frightened him so much he slept with the light on for a week.
Drama school and a stage career almost followed, until marriage and the need to earn money intervened. Frederick believes it was fortunate for the profession that they did. The drama, he claims, taught him everything he could not do: like ride horses, dance, sing, remember lines....
Writing is everything, however. Writing is god. Writing is the one thing he can certainly do. His mission statement: "I want my writing to entertain, to enliven, to add an extra dimension to life. If it doesn't, I have no place here."
He is a natural weaver of tales. We believe he deserves his place.
