Ian Stout's long career couldn't be more varied if he tried. Learning to fly at 17 he discovered there was little chance of work in aviation, so he left home for an 18 month walk-about in Europe. On his return he met Sharon and spent the next year convincing her to marry him. She finally gave in, and for some unknown reason, has put up with him for over 40 years. He claims it's because he's handsome and charming, which usually causes her to burst out laughing.
Their years have been filled with travel, adventure, successes, and a few failures. Amoung other things, he owned a gas station, a manufacturing plant, a tour compamy and a vehicle transpotation business. Ian was elected to city council five times, visited over thirty-five countries on five continents, fathered two children, and now, is author of two novels with more in the works.
Ian lives with Sharon in Mississauga, Canada, and says his only complaints are that his grandchildren are growing too fast and the printed word is gowing too small. Other than these minor irritants, he feels life is pretty good.
