June Belfie is addicted to writing. Rarely does a day go by without Ms. Belfie spending time on her exciting new career. She has always been a story-teller, even as a young child.
A music major in school, she later turned to oil painting and sold many at her Inn in the Poconos, where she and her husband Jim spent eleven exciting years creating a get-away haven for weary New Yorkers and Philadelphians, as well as travelers from all walks of life. Ms. Belfie published her memoir about inn-keeping called, "Inn Sane," available as an ebook or in paper. The actual name of the inn was, the Pine Knob Inn.
Ms. Belfie is best known for her Amish and inspirational fiction. The three-book series called, "The Zook Sisters of Lancaster County" is very popular and the books have often appeared on Amazon's best seller lists in Kindle books. "Ruth's Dilemma," "Emma's Choice," and "Katie's Discovery" are the titles, each telling the story of one of the sisters.
Due to its popularity, June Belfie's wrote her "The Zook Family Revisited," as a continuation of "The Zook Sisters of Lancaster County."
Book one of this series is called, "Waiting for Belinda." Belinda lives in Ohio, but has ties to the Zook family.
Book two is called, "Bitter Crossroad" and continues with both families - the Zooks in Pennsylvania, as well as Belinda's family in Ohio.
The third book in the series is called, "My Heart Cries Out."
Book four is titled, "An English Friendship," and the book, "An Amish Cradle," concludes the series.
The third Amish series is called, "Living Plain." The first book, "Anna's Trials," is about a young widow trying to deal with her active young family. Book two, is called, "Awakening Love," and the third is, "Mending Hearts."
Her next Amish Series is called "The King Family of Lancaster County." The first book of the series is called, "The Blizzard" and has hit the top 100 ebooks for Amish, as all her books have done. Book Two, "The Departure," and the final book of the series, "David's Decision," conclude the series.
Another popular Amish series is: "Amish Challenge" Series. Book One is called, "An Amish Secret," book two - "Leaving Home," book three - "Martha's Secret," and the last - book four - "Healing Hands."
"Eve's Christmas Blessing," is an Amish novella set during the holiday season.
"A Long Way to Go" is a popular Christian historical novel and best seller, about the 1843 expedition across the Oregon Trail.
"The Inn Game." is a humorous romance novel and a new edition will be forthcoming shortly.
Ms. Belfie has also published a series, "Julia," which is a contemporary story about a wealthy young woman, who has been dominated by her mother all her life. A tragedy, which happened in her childhood affects all her relationships. Then while spending a year in Italy, her life takes on new meaning.
Book one of "Julia," is called, "Search for Independence." Book two is called, "Search for Love," and book three, "Search for Fulfillment." It is a dramatic series, with strong Christian values expressed, as well as real-life drama.
"All About Grace" is a Christian novel about a young law student who finds herself in turmoil over making a major decision, which turns her life upside down.
"A Time for Nicky" is also available in print or electronic form from Amazon. It is a story about a young woman raised by a verbally abusive mother. Nicky finds herself nurturing her family members, with little time for her own life. Then events transpire which change her life forever.
