Michael Kimball

Michael Kimball writes stories and essays that explore the beauty of God’s character, the hope found in Jesus Christ, and the journey that leads us home to the Father’s heart. His work spans novels, fairy tales, books for young readers, and reflective essays that invite readers to look again at familiar biblical passages with fresh eyes.

Among his novels is Internal Affairs, a contemporary story that weaves together faith, technology, and the search for meaning. His more recent work, Coming Home: The Collected Essays, brings together years of writing centered on the goodness of God, the person and work of Christ, and the transforming power of divine love.

In addition to writing, Michael has narrated Christian audiobooks, including The Power of the Spirit, Christus Victor and Make Me Like Jesus, bringing thoughtful theological works to life for listeners.

Michael lives in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley with his wife, Colette. When he isn’t writing, he enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and cycling in the nearby Catskill Mountains, where many of his best ideas begin on the trail.

More than anything else, Michael hopes his writing will help readers see and love the God who is working to bring every one of us home.
