Do you love to find out about perception, psychology and the stories we tell ourselves? My interest in these topics began at the time of my first (and last) wildly successful conjuring show. The audience was 200 kids. I was ten years old. My career in magic was all downhill after that.

In all my books I like to explore psychological issues: Who are you? Do you really know who you are? What stories do you tell yourself? Can you know with certainty what you do when you are asleep?

You probably think that you are the best qualified to answer these questions, but are you sure about that? You might not be, when you read, "I THINK I WAS HITLER".

I take one of these questions and bind it into a novel or a short story. In "I THINK I WAS HITLER", I look at self-identity. In "BIG TAXI" a private investigator fights narcolepsy and asks himself who has responsibility for a crime. My short stories look at interpersonal conflicts from a variety of angles.

Misdirection, illusions and the power of stories to lead the mind down a path took off from conjuring in my obsessions, but then I began to write instead.
