Wulf Kurtoglu

Wulf Kurtoglu is a nom de plume - he's mentioned in the novel, and knows the story. Like the heroine, Beatrice, he has a hyphenated identity - in his case he's a German of Turkish background. He's a singer songwriter, and is particularly eloquent on the subject of ancient cities, especially cities on hills. Having lived in Edinburgh, his favourite city, he writes excellent Scots.
