Vicky Adin

Vicky Adin is a New Zealand author of ten genealogy-inspired historical fiction novels and family sagas — and a Master of Arts graduate with First Class Honours.

With decades of genealogical research behind her, she transforms real family mysteries and immigrant stories into compelling fiction — giving voice to ordinary women whose stories deserve to be told across three series: The New Zealand Immigrant Collection, The Art of Secrets, and The Ancestors series.

Her work has been recognised with a Gold Medal for Women's Historical Fiction 2022 and multiple B.R.A.G. Medallion Honoree awards. One reader compared her writing to that of Dame Catherine Cookson — a comparison she treasures.

Vicky is currently writing her memoir, Where Stories Lie Buried — A Memoir of a Genealogist Turned Author.
