Writing novels is more fun than I ever imagined. It's like solving a puzzle. Trying to make all the pieces fit together is a challenge and finding a way to weave in a piece in an unexpected manner is like discovering a gold nugget. When I'm not writing, I'm building cabinets for the kitchen or transplanting veggies in the greenhouse I built last year. Long ago I traveled, but now things have changed and I'd rather stay at home making cabinets, planting seeds and writing.

Writing non-fiction is really different. I keep imagining questions people might ask and then I try to include the answers.

Both types of books put pressure on me to do the best job I can, but I still enjoy writing.
