Victoria Ferrante was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to a mother who was heavily sedated and hallucinating during the birth. This probably explains Victoria's vivid imagination. As a child, she believed she was a princess, that monsters lived in her closet, and that she could spontaneously generate butteries just by concentrating hard enough.
Her first novel, "Hope," is a depressing but amazingly well-written tragedy based on real life incidents. She just finished writing a collection of hilarious and touching anecdotes titled, "The Book of Matthew," about her son who has Asperger's syndrome. Victoria is concentrating with all her might on conjuring up an agent who will get it published. Cross your fingers!
