Patrick D. Russell

Patrick D. Russell has worked in software over 30 years as programmer, system architect, and project and practice manager. He develops original applications, and helps companies design and build network/web-based systems to automate processes.

He graduated Johns Hopkins University in 1973 as valedictorian, with graduate work at Princeton and Oxford. He began his software career in 1980 in advanced manufacturing/motion control and moved into business software and shrink-wrap products in the late 1980s.

In 1993 he co-founded Cambridge Software Group, which had many household name consulting clients in diverse sectors and industries — and also built its own highly respected products. Renaissance acquired CSG in 1997, where he became Director of Technology.

In 2001 Patrick founded XPacific, specializing in workflow automation, then developed auto-trading systems with MP Partners. Recently he co-founded Russell Kennedy Partners, focusing on innovative business solutions. He is President of the Institute of Management Consultants San Diego Chapter. He enjoys speaking, writing, and presentations, and is authoring a forthcoming book, Holographic Process.
