Pascal Lafourcade

Pascal Lafourcade is a professor in computer security at the University of Clermont Auvergne and a member of LIMOS (Laboratory of Informatics, Modeling and Optimization of the Systems). He obtained his PhD in 2006 at ENS Cachan on the formal verification of cryptographic protocols. Then he did a post-doc at ETH Zurich before getting a teaching position at Verimag in Grenoble in 2007. He then held the industrial chair in digital trust at the University of Auvergne from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, he was recruited to the Computer Science department of the IUT of the University of Clermont Auvergne. His research interests include computer security, formal verification of cryptographic protocols and cryptography. His research interests include electronic voting, electronic auctions, electronic examination protocols, blockchain, PKI, secure cloud computing, 5G and symmetric cryptanalysis. He has authored over 100 papers with over 120 collaborators worldwide. He has also written several pedagogical books.
