Rex Olsen

Rex Olsen grew up on a remote Colorado cattle and horse ranch without in-door plumbing, electricity, or telephone. He made his way to executive positions in high tech industry and management consulting. However, he never lost his love of the land. Rex writes to connect with readers, sharing what is important to him through biography, fiction, and poetry. His memoir, FENCING OUT RAIN, won a major award in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association 2009 writing contest. His short story, SPECIAL DELIVERY, won PNWA's first prize and the ZOLA Award in 2010. Rex's poetry won a PNWA award in 2012, and his poetry has been published in Capper's, The Fence Post, and in Pooled Ink. Rex lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with his wife, Elizabeth.
