David A. Burpee

David A. Burpee grew up in Torrington, Connecticut, a small middle class town in Northwestern Connecticut. David was the first member of his family to graduate from college. After graduation, he went on to a successful career as a school teacher and school administrator retiring as a Superintendent of Schools in New York State.

His research for this book has encompassed thirty years of research throughout New England visiting town/county offices, public/college libraries, historical societies, and a myriad of cemeteries.

He now travels on a regular basis between homes in Upstate New York and the Greater Tampa Bay Florida area.
