Lynne Garner

Lynne has written for as long as she can remember. During her early teens she wrote stories mixing mystery with the paranormal. These works are now hidden in the loft under a pile of thick dust.

In her early 30s, while teaching crafts, she rekindled her ambition to become a writer. She started writing how-to features for crafts magazines. Lynne then set herself the challenge of getting a craft book published. She succeeded in 1999 when The Guild of Master Craftsmen published her first craft book.

After her 13th how-to book was published, she decided to explore picture book writing. In 2007, Piccadilly Press published 'A Book for Bramble'. This book was translated into five languages. Her second picture book, 'The Best Jumper', was recorded for the BBC radio channel CBeebies. She’s had five picture books published in total. In 2011, Lynne published a collection of stories featuring Anansi, the Trickster Spider. This book was followed by a further four short story collections.
