Gordon A. Long

After many years of writing Fantasy of various forms (humour, Sword and Sorcery, Epic, Sword with no Sorcery) I have returned to my original love: Science Fiction, mostly in Space Opera style. The "Freighty" series is now up to eight books, and I have written two standalones as well.

I also adjudicate Speech Arts Festivals, and direct two different Seniors' performance troupes. Sometimes I teach ESL in Korea. One fun job was supervising the medal ceremonies in Speed Skating for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. I crew on a 50-foot racing sloop called "Surfrider" out of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. It's an ultralight Santa Cruz 50.

I have recently travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia, which gives me all sorts of material for my blog, "Are People Stupid?"
