Carissa Marks

Carissa is true "grits" (girl raised in the south) Her characters come from the people and places in her life. She spent twenty years chasing the military and raising kids. She had career ADD which led to a sampling of numerous vocations which she now draws on. Carissa has said with her heritage, Scot/Irish/ Native American, if she can't tell a story--no one can. She's still a small town girl, after surviving 7 cold and deep winters in the north end of Michigan-she moved back to her home state of Florida with her husband, a son, and a herd of critters.

Carissa graduated from Western Michigan University and loves watching Bronco Football & Hockey.
