Max Carlson

Max E. Carlson was born and raised in rural western Nebraska on a farm. He attended a one room rural school from K through 8th grade and attended high school in Chappell, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a degree in English. After teaching for two years, he attended Law School at the University of Nebraska obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 1975. He served as Sedgwick County Judge for 33.5 years having retired in February of 2012 as judge, and shortly thereafter, from the practice of law.

He enjoys writing as well as photography and has published several photo books enhanced by quotations. Psychology and the power of positive thinking have always influenced and interested him deeply. His writing reflects these interests. His latest book, The Bible Guy, is a mystery novel and was published on December 16, 2014.
