John C. Bird

I have been a journalist, PR man and university lecturer, living and working in the United States, Canada, Cyprus and the United Kingdom. My published and broadcast work includes short and long fiction, plays, poetry, television comedy material, and non-fiction books on subjects as diverse as Britain's treatment of enemy alien civilians in wartime and new careers for the over-forties. My first novel, Alby and Me, won critical acclaim and was long-listed for the Waverton Good Read Award for the best debut novel of 2007-8. My latest novel, Aristocrat at Large, was published in 2012.
