Saeed Yousef

Saeed Yousef سعید یوسف has been publishing poems in Persian since mid-1960s, when still in high school. He is anthologized as a poet of both modern (free style) Persian poetry and a poet well-rooted in traditional forms. Apart from books of poetry, he has published books of literary criticism (in Persian and English), translations, and books of Persian grammar. He has his PhD in comparative literature and is teaching at the University of Chicago.
