Robert M Johnson PhD has written and self-published seventy novels, both contemporary and historical in subject matter.He has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mental Health and has published a dozen books related to his field. His first novel, "Jihad 1095 A.D. The Great Crusade" arose from his experience at the Grande Chartreuse Monastery in France where he lived for eleven years as a member of the Roman Catholic Carthusian Order. That monastery was founded in the year 1084 A.D. by Bruno of Reims, the advisor to Pope Urban II, who preached the First Crusade in 1095 A.D. Five subsequent novels have been added to this series on the Great Crusade.
His Western Series is currently drawing a lot of attention with Kindle Readers: The Windrider, The Wolf Man Warrior, and Wilderness Winter were followed by Westward Wagons Ho, the Wolfhound Vengeance and Wolf Prey. This series now has 21 volumes, and presents an incarnation of the American genius and grit from the annals of Manifest Destiny, the birth of the American West. A new series, begun in 2015, features two newly minted US Territorial Marshals, Fletcher and Tate, charged with handling law and order in Kansas and Missouri.

Another western Mountain Man series was initiated in 2015, called the Sam Ogden Mountain Man Series, it now has 13 volumes, starting with Hard to Kill, and most recently The Stalking Moon (#13). It is targeted to the young adult reader and those excited by traditional 19th century Western themes.
