Robb Zerr has been a professional writer since 1985. His first book, Memoirs of a Buccaneer, is a hilarious memoir about his 30 years as a professional pirate entertainer, which has taken him far and wide on countless and often astounding adventures. Quite frankly, some of his friends are amazed he's not in jail or dead as a result.
Today, Robb is Washington's Story Laureate, a title he gave to himself because no one has thought of it before. RobZerrvations.com, his weekly humor blog, is read by thousands throughout the world and turned into a collection of short stories titled, oddly, RobZerrvations Volume I.
These two books have become minor bestsellers, largely because he has a lot of friends and a big family. His third book, his first fiction work, is Brewster McCabe: Ace Private Eye, which was released in July 2015.
Besides telling stories for a living, Robb is a mediocre musician, talented entertainer, tortured novelist, part-time pirate, dedicated father of two, adoring husband, fervent community activist, horrible gardener, occasional world traveler and bon vivant.
Robb is something of a rarity, a born and raised Washington State native who actually admits to being from the city of Renton.
