Daniel Krause

After earning a Ph.D in Sociology, Dan Krause taught sociology to both undergraduate and graduate students for more than twenty-five years. During his tenure at the university, thirteen as department chair, he published two books and a series of academic papers on topics ranging from Danish nursing homes to Saturday morning television shows. He also established programs in both gerontology and environmental studies. After leaving teaching, he turned his attention to popular writing. In addition to his novels, he has written several books on contemporary topics, books that bring readability and humor into the often sterile topics.

Dan, his wife Mery, currently reside in the North Carolina mountains.
