Derrick Lee Mitchell

Derrick Lee Mitchell, author and illustrator was born in Salisbury, Maryland. His work can be seen in Docia Smith's book, "Simply Chubby a Celebration of Life" and in his new children's book, "Miyah and Koala's First Day". Mr. Mitchell has been drawing images of his family, animals, and environment since he was a little boy. His mother told him that he had to do something with his gift and he has. Derrick Lee Mitchell is currently working on the second book in the "Miyah and Koala's" series.
