Richard Wheeler

Richard Wheeler was a United States Marine Corps ­veteran who fought at Iwo Jima during World War II. As a scholar of both the Pacific theater and the ­American Civil War, he wrote nineteen books, advised film productions, and won the New York City Civil War Round Table’s Fletcher Pratt Award.
