Phil H. Jones

Phil H. Jones is a retired local government manager who has lived in northeast Fife since 1974. Originally from Bradford in Yorkshire, he is a graduate of St. Andrews University and saw his first Scottish football match in 1966 when he was a student. He went on to visit all the Scottish League grounds, usually accompanied by David Potter, and since retiring from Fife Council in 2003 has extended his football travels to non-league grounds throughout Scotland. In the course of carrying out research for this book he has visited places as far apart as Wick and Wigtown. He is married with three adult children, and his other interests include researching family history and taking his dog for long walks.
