Michael Breazeale

Mike Breazeale is a Marketing educator, researcher, and consultant. Associate Professor of Marketing at Mississippi State University. His primary areas of research encompass consumer-brand connections, retail atmospherics, the consumption of experiences, and emotional branding. He is co-founder and director of MSU's Market Innovation Lab and Observatory (MILO), a high-tech biometric business research lab, and also serves as the College of Business' Inclusion and Diversity Officer.

Mike has published several articles in publications that include Journal of Retailing, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Marketing Management Journal, and Journal of Business Research, and has made numerous conference presentations relating to his research. He has won multiple awards for both teaching and research and serves as a reviewer for several top marketing journals.

Mike has performed consulting duties with clients as diverse as Millward Brown Optimor and the U.S. Military and is a founding member of the Institute for Brands and Brand Relationships, an international organization dedicated to connecting academic researchers and marketing practitioners around the topic of building strong and mutually beneficial consumer-brand relationships. He teaches Social Media Marketing, Branding and Entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducts research, and consults with firms internationally on issues related to brand relationship building and retail design.
