Robin Patino

Robin Patino left Manhattan and a 20-year business career to embark on a two-year journey of healing and self-discovery in 2009. Her adventures took her to Costa Rica to live and train as a yoga teacher and through northern Spain, where she walked a 400-mile pilgrimage on a hip saved from replacement surgery through a daily Yin yoga practice. A certified life coach since 2008, Patino converted her life, business and mentoring background into valuable lessons for finding happiness in all circumstances. Her first book, “Do You Think You Will Break?,” was published last year.

Robin's life has been devoted to understanding human behavior, with a profound curiosity about what inspires and motivates people. One of her key strengths has always been the ability to see the world through many perspectives, while at the same time observing the patterns formed by behavior. For 20 years, that curiosity was funneled into selling ideas and products, and into developing the employees she managed in the political and corporate worlds. Patino spent 10 years providing insights for shaping political strategy at two of the largest lobbying groups globally, and another 10 leading market intelligence initiatives for multi-national corporations and major consulting clients.

In 2007, Robin began the process of creating a new now, to focus her energy on helping women find balance in their lives. She was certified as a life coach and transformational workshop facilitator, and in 2009 was certified as a yoga teacher.

Like most graduates of the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Patino considers herself a citizen of the world. While studying with colleagues from 70 different countries, she earned an MBA combined with international and language studies at the school, which has been top ranked for over 20 years in international business and focused on responsible and sustainable global leadership. Her undergraduate work earned her a Bachelors of Arts in communications and journalism with a minor in psychology from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
