D. M. O’Neal is a retired Senior Forensic Scientist with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office in Fort Worth, Texas. With thirty-five years’ experience in drug chemistry and DEA certified in dismantling methamphetamine labs. She also assisted in the recovery of skeletal remains and processing major crime scenes. Currently an emeritus member serving two terms as President and Chairperson of the Southwestern Association of Forensic Scientists.
In community service, Michelle served several years as a committee member for the DFW Writers’ Workshop Conference. And sat for two years as the Board President for The Samaritan House/Samaritan Villages a housing project for persons living with HIV/AIDS in Fort Worth.
Through her experience gained as a single parent, drug analyst, and crime scene investigator, Ms. O’Neal shares her experiences and adventures with a twisted sense of fiction in her debut novel SHAMBLES and the sequel, SHATTERED.
