Suzanne Purewal

Suzanne grew up in Webster, NY. She is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School, Rochester, NY. Although music and writing were her passions, she attended GMI Engineering & Management Institute, Flint, MI, to pursue a career with General Motors. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree, she went on to earn a Master of Science degree from Kettering University. Suzanne worked for General Motors and Delphi for a combined twenty-two years.

Suzanne began playing the guitar at the age of eight. Writing poetry was a natural fit, and she composed several songs and poems while in grammar school. During her high school years, she continued composing poetry and dabbled with short stories. Her college years proved especially prolific. She was a contributor and the editor for her school's underground paper. After a short time, she was asked to assume the role of Editor in Chief for the school's official student paper.

Aside from her annual Christmas poems and a few other whimsical pieces over the past two decades, Suzanne did not write very much. However, she did entertain coworkers with descriptive stories. They encouraged her to write a book. She did not seriously consider it, until she was diagnosed with cancer. During her battle against the disease, she started writing again.

In her free time, Suzanne enjoys hiking, singing, and playing the guitar and piano. She resides in Noblesville, IN, where she has lived for the past twenty-four years.
