As an author and illustrator, I find inspiration for my watercolor paintings and writing projects from the towering mountains, the dazzling wildflowers, and the diverse wildlife of Montana. My paintings capture the fragile beauty and spirit of the natural world. I meet weekly with a group of art enthusiasts to paint and support each other’s efforts.

An educator for over three decades, I have a special interest in connecting children to nature. I've written and illustrated a series of field guides for children. "Mountain Wildflowers for Young Explorers: An A to Z Guide", is a user-friendly field guide with life-like watercolor paintings depicting 26 flowers common to the Western mountains and valleys, one for each letter of the alphabet. "Western Butterflies for Young Explorers: An A to Z Guide", is an informative butterfly guide book for budding biologists.

My latest book, Wild at Heart celebrates a young girl's unforgettable hike into the wilderness. Along the trail she and her family are in awe of all that nature has to offer.
