J. Dean

"Taking fantasy in a unique direction."

That's the motto and driving force behind J. Dean and the creation of his epic Vein series. Hooked on writing since the fifth grade, and cutting his teeth on the great authors like Stephen King and Ray Bradbury, J. Dean held tight to his love for stories through high school and college, and in 2008 officially launched into the world of professional writing with The Summoning of Clade Josso: The First Descent into the Vein, following this up two years later with The Summoning of Old Velt. In addition to the Vein series, J. Dean writes and publishes short stories, and plans in 2012 to release his first short story collection as well as the third novel in the Vein series. He resides with his family in Michigan, and enjoys playing the guitar, martial arts (when he gets the time to get back into it), and spending Sunday afternoons after church arguing with television referees who throw yellow flags on the football gridiron.
