Jackie McGregor

Jackie McGregor has been a newspaper columnist for almost three decades.

She began with a column in The Mirror in 1998 as their cinema reviewer, and has been writing her current weekly 'Jackie's World' column for The Belfast News Letter, since 2005.

She has appeared in The Daily Mail, The Newstateman and numerous womens' magazines including, Woman, Woman's Own and Woman & Home.

An award winning poet, she spent 15 years as a copywriter for the greetings card industry.

Also a playwright, Jackie served as writer-in-residence at the Peter Quigley Theatre School, Belfast.

Her charity books with publisher Hachette/Headline, were written in tribute to her late parents, who both died from Alzheimer's disease.

Jackie donates 100% of her royalties from her books to the Alzheimer's Society.
