Allan Kirtley

Allan (otherwise known as Al) Kirtley was born in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England. For a number of years he worked by day in the financial services industry and by night as a jazz and blues pianist, playing both live and in recording studios, but now concentrates exclusively on the roles of musician and author.

He is the author of a number of factual publications but Act of God was his first work of fiction (other than some of the corporate plans he used to submit to his parent company). This was followed by the non-fiction A History of the Blacketts, published in hardback in 2013, and by Speed Dial (written mainly for pre-teens readers), published in 2018.

He is married with two children and lives in Surrey.
