James was born Aquarius 1943, raised near White Sands, New Mexico, son of a rocket radio engineer and an artist. In high school a science�fair winner, thespian, and president of Chess and Writing clubs, he became a winning swimmer, gymnast, and martial artist in college. After two years at remote New Mexico Tech studying geophysics, he dropped out in 1963 to enter Marine Corps jet pilot training. He later served as a helicopter gunship pilot with the 101st Airborne in Viet Nam, where he was highly decorated, including the Bronze Star and Distinguished Flying Cross, but drummed out for smoking marijuana. The novel SACRIFICES is about this time. Seeking to put youthful dreams behind, he resolved to get free and discover truth. After going from the DMZ to Woodstock in 1969, James tuned in, turned on, and dropped out. Three quick divorces. Sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, and religion. Psychedelics, Scientology, Wicca, Tao, and Jesus. Folk music composer, actor, singer, playwright, TV show producer and host, occult publisher's assistant, and founder of The Scribes Of Osiris. The novel SEDUCTIONS is about this time, and the new-age tracts in SEDONA ESOTERICA. Resolving to select a workable truth and settle down, in 1980 he returned to his home town Las Cruces, and worked various jobs raising a family. James lived several years in Las Vegas, where he wrote the bi-monthly column which became THE ANTI-CYCLOPS PAPERS, and the novel MERLIN’S PAWN about being a dope runner pilot, and sports book bet runner. Working with co-authors, he wrote the SAM COHEN, J.D. series of pulp-fiction novels about a Chicago lawyer, the epic historical novel BLOOD OF MONTENEGRO, about three generations of a family’s impact on the rise and fall of Yugoslavia, and SPIRIT MAN, a surreal fantasy created by a blind runner and artist. He lives today in a cozy little cave in the wilderness near Al Burque, on Tatooine.
